Other Canadians that can’t stand Canada
Sunday, May 9th, 2010I came across this thread & while I didn’t like the writer’s clearly racist & religious views, I agreed with what really matters, how Canada treats its citizens.
Americans vs. Canadians
I came across this thread & while I didn’t like the writer’s clearly racist & religious views, I agreed with what really matters, how Canada treats its citizens.
Americans vs. Canadians
I have to say that Vancouver & Canada really impressed me this Olympic Winter Games.
Just seeing what was going on in Vancouver really made me want to go over there & party with them. LOL
Then when I saw the closing ceremonies, I was shocked at how beautiful it was.
It sounds like Canadians FINALLY opened up & started letting loose. They almost sounded American in their glee & joy LOL Hope that energy & drive continues & convinces the Canadian government to start protecting their citizens & give them the help they need.
I’ve decided that the way to tell how great a country is, is by how they treat their poorest of citizens.
Well Done Canada

So I was watching “The Hour” with George, a new talk show that is all Canadian & believe it or not, not all that bad, but I have noticed that their facts aren’t always 100% dead on even though they think they are.
Anyway, George had Joe Clark (a former Prime Minister who lasted a very short time) on there a couple of weeks ago & I don’t know if it’s because he was only Prime Minister for such a short period of time (he was still in politics until 2004), or he’s just in denial, or he is well off enough that he’s clueless, but this guy seems to think that all Canadians have a good life.
We SUPPOSEDLY have no conflict here whatsoever. We are all happy campers LOL
Well I have something to say about that Mr. Clark, you DON’T know what you are talking about. He’s probably not the only politician that has no clue what is going on in real life, but this just goes to show you how clueless these Canadian politicians are. Granted the Canadian people are more to blame for this then anything, but still.
To compare Canadians to the States & say we have a much better life isn’t really the point is it, because on this blog I’m showing that by & large Americans have a better life. And if we were to compare Canada with other countries, I’m sure we would be wayyyy behind on the scale of living a relatively stress free life.
Does that mean that everything Americans have is better? NO, but when we look at the things that matter, I feel America has the lead & right now I’m only comparing these 2 countries because they are so close together.
When my son’s Civics teacher polled his 10th grade class of approximately 30 students on who watched the Canadian political debate on October 2nd, 2008, 2 hands went up.
When the entire class started discussing both debates, it was clear to my son that most of the kids had watched the Vice Presidental debate between Sarah Palin & Joe Biden.
Even the kids find the United States more exciting then Canada, but I don’t know if this was because we are so close to the border, but that is the consensus which does conflict with Canadian reports that Canadian adults preferred to watch the Canadian political debate.
Hmmm, I wonder if they are even telling the truth in order not to look bad, & I won’t even comment on the STUPID decision to even have the debate on the same night that the Americans had theirs. I mean maybe they scheduled this way in advance, but they knew this was an American election year & that FINALLY Bush was going to be eliminated. Geeze.
If you read the index page of this blog, you will know that I grew up in the States until the age of 13/14, so I know the basics (I don’t believe in politics) of the governmental system of the US. Although I was in the Canadian school system from 9th grade until 12th grade, I was never fully educated on the Canadian governmental system, & when I tried to get a friend who was a political nut to explain it to me, my brain just shut down.
Even today all I know is that you vote for a party, NOT one person, & the rest is all Greek to me.
It’s been years since I learned all of that stuff in school, & I still know more about the US’s government than I know about the Canadian government.
Canada makes it really really hard for anyone to grasp the concept, so it’s BORING, & frankly I don’t want to vote for a party, I want to vote for one person which is how things are done in every single school, business, country, etc.
I don’t know if Canada is the only country who does it that way, or England does too. Maybe someone can post & educate those of us who don’t know.
The bottom line is, I feel it doesn’t matter who we vote in as the next Prime Minister, I’ve been through a Liberal Prime Minister & a Conservative Prime Minister, & neither has changed any of the issues I’ve mentioned on this blog.
When I vote, I vote for the Green Party only because they are very open minded, they really care about the citizens of the country & politics needs a change, but hey, we know how most human beings are scared of change.
They just want to go through the same thing year after year after year.
What is the definition of insanity?
Doing the same thing over & over & over again & expecting different results.
I’m happy to report I am NOT insane.
